Frequently Asked Questions

When will I be expected to pay for my rental?

Payment is due at time of booking.

Is there a weight limit on how many tons I can put in the container?

Yes! The limit is: 15 yard dumpster - 3 tons 20 yard dumpster - 4 tons

How long can I keep the dumpster?

7 days is our typical rental period.

How long does it take to have a dumpster delivered?

We provide next day delivery Monday - Friday.

Can I fill the dumpster over the top?

No. We have to be able to tarp the dumpsters in order to haul them. Over loading it would prevent being able to haul it.

What can I put in the dumpster?

Drywall, lumber, empty buckets, household junk, mattresses, construction debris. No food waste!

What cannot go into the dumpsters?

No hazardous waste, chemical products, radioactive materials, paints, aerosal cans, propane tank, oils, tires, asbestos, railroad ties, concrete or food waste are allowed in the container under any circumstances. Also see our "Prohibited Items" page.

Do you take refrigerators or freezers?

Yes, as long as the freon has been removed.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

We are not responsible if your driveway cracks, crumbles or collapses. If your driveway has settled over the years it is not the fault of Peach State Dumpsters. It is the homeowners' duty to ensure that the driveway is safe for us to be on. That being said, it is extremely rare for driveways to collapse from a dumpster. If you are unsure of the stability of your driveway, give us a call. We will be happy to help find a better alternative.

What happens if my dumpster is over the allowed tonnage?

This can be avoided by making sure that you are using the correct size dumpsters (different sizes have different weight limits). The bigger and heavier the items are the more space and tonnage is consumed. In the event that your dumpster is over the allowed tonnage, there is a $45.00 per ton charge. (15 yard - 3 tons / 20 yard - 4 tons)

Can I keep the dumpster for longer then the initail rental period?

Yes. You would need to contact our office to ask if the dumpster can be rented for a longer period. Mind you there is a rental fee for extra days. You also need to make sure you contact us at least a day prior to the initial pick up as our pick ups are automatically scheduled.
